Just got my clutch out tonight for some troubleshooting. Checked all the friction plate thicknesses, everything is hovering around 2.98, though I did measure one spot locally on a plate that was about 2.90. Never saw anything else less than 2.96 though, so with spec being 2.7 to 3.0, I'm not worried.

I digress:

I have also noted significant wear on my pressure plate. There is a groove worn into the plate, about 0.85mm deep. The friction plate that fits against the pressure plate has obviously been wearing into it, but as long as I make sure to line up that same friction plate, it slides like butter around the pressure plate on this groove. So obviously they have been wearing together and still fit nice. Question is: Should I replace the pressure plate, or is it OK to wait until I need new friction plates?
