Quick measurement please

Will someone please measure the distance from the center of the foot peg rubber to the center of the shift arm center? Basically the space btween the two to allow for shifting.

My '78 XS400 has 4.75" clear space between the two. The center to center distance is a bit more than 6". The shift rubber dia is about 1", the peg rubber dia is about 1.75"
