Painting the bike finally after three years, just wondering if anyone had any tips on painting the racing stripe as far as getting it centered (eyeball it or is there a way to measure it to the center)

I'll keep everyone posted on the project

What kind of stripe and where? When I did mine I measured up from the bottom of the tank and seat pan 2"

When I lined my center stripes up, on the tank I used the center of the rear mounting hole and the center of the front opening, ran a piece of 1/4" plstic mask tape along that line then measured over to each side to lay out the stripe.

The fenders were done in a similar way, the front was a bitch due to the compound curve.

Methods above work well for the tank and tail. When doing a front fender, you can use a seamstress tape to measure around the contour at several places along the fender to establish the center line and measure out from there for each side.
