Rear Hub

Has anyone done anything with their rear hub (brake housing) other than paint or powdercoat? I was wondering if anyone has polished theirs and how the did it. I saw that thread about polishing the cam covers (couldn't find the thread or who did it but it was great!) and it got me to thinkin, could I do the same to my rear hub?

just polish it like you would any aluminum piece. I polished mine, it isn't too hard.

Yep. 30 mins on a bench polisher. Well worth the results.

Or, there's a guy on Ebay that sells them for <$100.00 already polished.

I bead blast the center ribbed area between the flanges, polish the flanges and brake plate, polish the rim, and respoke. They come out nice .....
