remove long base bolt like stud?

hey do you remove base stud?

I mean the 8 extra long bolt from the base to the top

do you remove it to rebuild an engine.......

if yes how to remove it without damaging it

and where can I found new one on sale

No, you do not remove those 8 studs. They don't wear out.

Your knowledge of engine work seems to be weak. Buy yourself a Haynes manual, as it has excellent information on engine re-building.

Also go to www.biker.net. You will find the Yamaha Service Manual for the XS650. That contains the manufacturers specs for engine re-building.
