Hello,

I would like to remove the RH control switch since I wont be using an electric start. (I plan on putting a kill switch elsewhere on the bike.) I there a prodcut I can buy so that the throttle cabble can be connected to the twist grip but not housed in a bulky housing.

I am looking for something like this

http://i.imgur.com/mDbFm.jpg - which I stole from the wrenchmonkees site.

I dont know what it is called so I can't search for it.

Also, on a 1981 SH is the handlebar diameter 7/8"?

Thanks,
Adam

Friction tape? Just kidding, a motocross bike throttle assembly will do what you want. Yes all XS650 bars were 7/8" stock.

Ok. I found several products that do what I want. They are essentiall regular grips but the cable can attach to the end via a housing and screw.

Has anyone used throttle twist grips without the switch? How does it compare? Any suggestions on which to buy?
