Can anyone tell me off hand if the riser mounting bolts are 1/2 x 13 on stock XS trees? I need to order new risers and bushings and just want to make sure I an getting the right stuff. Thanks.

No. Any Japanese or European motorcycle or car (except older British stuff) is metric. So the stock XS handlebar mounts are either M10x1.25 or M12x1.25.
(Regular hardware store coarse thread metric would be M10x1.50 and M12x1.75)
Personally, I am not very picky/particular, but would not be able to live with a mix of metric and UNC/ UNF on any vehicle. That would just be WRONG.
