Wanted - Rotor: 1980 and up

Looking for a rotor for my charging system, 80's and up, with the magnet for the pickup.

Mine died and I don't want to cough up the dough for a PMA and a completely new ignition system. Just needs to test within operating tolerances.

i have one that i bought from custom rewind, its good to go, make me an offer. i removed and bought a pma shortly after, because i rewired the bike and wanted to eliminate any future issues. it reads 4.2 ohms

New rotors from racetech are $90 shipped in the US I got two, they look good and tested at 5.3 ohms. Have not installed one yet. They have the magnet which has good pull.

yes it reads 4.2 thats how i got it from custom rewind. 75 shipped

my custom rewind rotor that I received yesterday reads 4.6 ohm. I was told that they purposely wire these hot (which degreases ohm reading) to allow the charging system to work at a lower RPM... idk if this is just a bunch of bs or not.. But thats the readying I got.

Any thoughts?

BTW - mine was 115 + 50 core charge. People were very nice there. I don't know if they computer balance these after they wind them...... i am really hoping so.

Gary, just checked out that rotor from Racetech. Looks like these will work with the 81 bikes with solid state ignition. Is that correct??

Sure is, they have the magnet for the pickups, that's the only difference between early(70-79) and late (80-84) rotors
