Wanted - Shifter lever

Im thinking of converting my bike to a foot clutch/jockey shift.
So im looking for a shifter that I can cut very short and weld a rod to for the jockey shift.
So I really only need end that connects to the engine.
If anyone has a broken/bent shifter that they arnt using, please let me know!

Hey, Pat_in_the_hat. Just a trivia item that may help if you find yourself rooting thru bike junkyards.

The OD of the shifter's splined area is 11.5mm (0.453").
A 10mm (0.394") rod will *just* slide thru the shifter's splined opening.
There's 30 sharp-edged splines...

Thanks for the help. ill keep that in mind. However theres no moto junk yard in the montana town I live in. I know of one 3 hours away that Ill check out if no one on here has a junk shifter. Then your dimension suggestions will be of great help.
