Hi all,

For my new build I'm planning to use a smaller rear rotor. I have come across a lot of useful info regarding what alternative rotors fit the front. I'm wondering if any one has come across anything for the rear. The same bolt pattern, just a smaller diameter rotor.

Hi Paul,
the XS650 rear disk is already smaller than the front one (same size as all 3 disks on an XS750/850) and has the identical center hole & bolt circle.
How small you wanna go?
One of those lightweight fancy-shaped disk & calipers off a modern dirt bike?

Hi Fred,

You read my mind. Yeah, I'm quite keen on something a little smaller, perhaps 210mm - 230mm or along those lines. I've seen a few dotted about on eBay etc. If I went for one of those I'd have to make a backing plate to take the new PCD and mate it to the original.

I was curious if anyone had hit lucky with a bolt on replacement :)
