Yeah so new cam chain in, newly machined head back on and all torqued down and realize this little clip was left out. Seems like it's just there to keep the cam chain tensioner bar from catching during asssembly? Thoughts?
I thought of it when I was just on a run. Oil baffle for the crankcase breather. I'm no longer baffled. Of course... Meh.... I don't know how crazy important that is...
I'm gonna run a pair of K & N breather pods so it's not like any excess oil will be blowing into an airbox if there is any... Think I'll just proceed and see how it goes...
Looks like this baffle is mainly to try and divert whatever oil mist spritzes up towards the outward diagonal channels, and that the central vertical channel is the main oil return. I doubt having this missing will make much difference. We'll see.
