i have split my case to install mikes overdrive. along with the new overdrive it is getting new pistons, cylinder bored, head reworked, new gaskets , seals, all parts glass beaded and hi-temp clear. so here is my questions. what is the bolt numbers?( i saw a pic posted before with all the bolts numbered, cant find now) Which bolts get copper sealing washers? do all get sealing washers? how do you toqure the ones you have to use a open end wrench for?

The numbers are cast into the cases in tightening sequence; loosen in reverse order (highest numbers first). Some early engines had steel washers on all fasteners, and it wouldn't hurt to use copper washers throughout. For the nuts you can't get to with a socket, use a crow's foot on your torque wrench--that's an open-end with a square drive. Reduce torque by a pound or so to compensate for the extra leverage created by the crow's foot.

Some of thenumbers are hard to find and read. This may help.
