For a long while I've been searching for a gas tank for my project bike and was wondering what your thoughts are on using a SR tank.
I've read that the 650 tank will not fit on an SR500 without a lot of work, as the 650 tank has a narrower channel. If that's the case I would think the SR tank would fit on a 650 with little work, maybe some new bungs, rubber pads and such. Any thoughts?
The reason I'm asking is I found a ridiculous amount amount of aluminum tanks from Japan for the SR at good prices, even free shipping if your order is over $370. I've seen the place mentioned in some SR500 forums a couple times.
