Hey guys..
I have a 1979 XS650 Special (SF). My starter button intermittently works. I have not been able to track down where the disconnect is happening, but I was wondering if you guys knew a good place to start. It seems to always work first thing in the morning, and then after that, all day long it won't work. Strange, i thought. No amount of wiggling the wiring by the switch changes it. I did replace the button/spring/metal connector cylinder in the button but the problem still happens.
I also replaced the fuse box with the one from Mikes XS.
It happened when I got it, it happens still after all of that replacing things.
When I kick start it throughout the day, it fires right up no problem.
Any ideas of where to look??
Thanks in advance.
