has anyone mounted a mono shock swing arm to a 83 650. i want to lower it and bob it out a bit but dont want to make it a hard tail as its my wifes bike.

Welcome to the forum, jahrdy. There's a lot of monoshock activity in here, all custom builds. Try a forum search on "monoshock"...

You won't get very low swapping swing arms. Plus it is easily as much work as hard tailing a bike. Remember to work well swingarms have geometry to watch for just like the forks.
