Tach drive Eliminator?

You know those tach drive eliminators that lowbrow sells....do you have to remove the right case cover to use these or can you just unscrew the tach drive and drop this eliminator in?

Remove the cover. When you pull the drive assembly, there is a small thrust washer you don't want floating around in there. You might get lucky and it comes up with the shaft, but if not, you might wanna pull it to be safe...

put a powerful magnet on the end of the shaft before you pull it, it may be enough to keep the washer on the end.
