Given that it's winter in most parts, and you may not be riding for a while, I'd fill it with gas, leave it off the bike and see how thing change, if at all, over the next few months.

Its winter that we like to ride here in Arizona. It was in the mid 60's today while everyone else across the country is snowed in. I here what your saying.
