Thought about stretching my tc bros hardtail another 2 or 3 inches. Anyone do this before? Any thoughts or concerns?

I could see that being more work than its worth IMHO

the bottom rails seem easy .. but the top will deff require more work

stretch is the main reason I still havent ordered a H/t

I like the look, and want to set the seat a little farther back. Yes bottom rails very easy just add tube. I can either lengthen the upper tubes or cut out bend in back bone and make a latteral for down tube to extend the backbone. which is the way I am leaning. Either way I believe I will have to cut upper welds on axle plates to get the angle right on upper tubes. Have it mocked up if I can figure out how to post a pic off of my phone I will

If you did the top tubes as a flattened area at the seat pan you could get more length fairly easy. You might be able to heat and bend the tubes that go into the axle plates to meet the flattened out area of the seat pan area. That way you would not have to cut anything loose and if you were careful you could maintain alignment. Just some thoughts.

i think heat/bend tubing will make the tube collapse. imho.
thought about apes, and forwards?
