Not really, it can be "soft" copper as well most likely. The XS650 uses a low pressure oil pump so you aren't really worried about high pressures in the line... I wanna try this

Im not worried about oil pressures as much as I am about vibration. The smaller lines will be soft, but the main upline will bear some amount of load. Idont want it bendin out of shape due to vibration. You may very well get yours done before me. Also, the 2 way fitting appears to be brass. You can hit the fittings with a torch and they come right off, they appear to be silver soldered.

yah, first time i've seen this done but very cool idea. I'm glad I kept my old broken oil feed line around...

showed my frame a little love today. Only had a hacksaw but I started cutting the rear subframe off a piece at a time. No pics, but everything behind the shock mounts is gone now. Gonna take it to a buddy house and get to grinding on it tomorrow. Still lookin for a titled neck(at a fair price).
