0000 grit steel wool from walmart and turtle wax chrome polish, total is like 8 bucks. 0000 grit will not scratch chrome, and will clean surface rust and lay a protective film , only been doing bikes this way since 1969, so im not sure.....
make sure u get 0000 grit only, dont buy the pack with multiple grits
