Hello.
So i recently started tear down my first yamaha xs650se, it's a 82 if it that has some difference between years.
As soon as I took the engine out i started to open it to change The gaskets inside, and starting of easy i take of the "kickside" houseing and this fell out...
i figured it was som sort of plug but can' t find a hole to fill . Went through clymer manual to check the exploded view but can't find it anywere. I don't know if it's bent with purpose or if it's damaged
So basicly that is my question... Does anybody know what this is or where it should go?

Pretty sure you will find that should fit on the shift mechanism up behind the clutch. It's rivited to an arm. Rerivet or replace.

okey! can i see where it goes without taking of the clutch? Cause what i can see with the clutch on one arm is there with the "plug" still there.
Okey, gonna look at that thread and se, could not find something before so figuerd i ask instead!
