In the final stages of rebuild. Who knows the pattern for tightening the engine mounting bolts. Don't want to destroy good dental work with a radical vibration.
I think you simply progress through the pattern by number. Mounting bolt torque values, like other specs on this bike, are something that changed over the years, and sometimes not always for the better in my opinion. Here's a comparison of the '78 specs to those of a later '80s model. I draw from both lists, in most cases using the higher value with the exception of that long lower bolt, #5. For some reason, Yamaha jumped that one from 36 all the way up to 65 ft/lbs, too much I think. I set it in the low 40s.
What the later specs include that is missing from the '78 ones is a value for that stubby M10 that holds the top motor mounts together.
