Hey guys,
I currently have an 82’ XS650 with the ol’ no spark problem. Any who, i have an opportunity to pick up a 73’ TX650 with extra parts and was wondering if anyone knows if the engine parts would work with mine? I have read that the frames were modified after the 73 TX but didn’t see anything about the engines. The only thing i can see is it having a points system. Since my TCI box is toast (i believe), I’m thinking of converting to points with the extra parts that this TX would come with (assuming they’re still there).
However, My other (main) issue is the 82 I currently own does not have a title. It’s only got about 3k miles on it and is in great condition. I really want to get this baby running and plate it. This TX comes with a title and was thinking i can register it and slap those plates onto mine. Or have fun tearing it down and really get balls deep into learning everything and swap the XS parts onto the TX. If possible.
I am in need of some guidance! Can anyone help a brother out?
Thanks!
