voltage issues while running

Hey there guys just curious if anyone may know about this. While trying to check the voltage going through the battery while my bike is running the meter jumps all over. It wont stay at a solid 13.5-14.0 volts. Is the battery shot??

Could be. Or the meter, or its leads. Or intermittant connections. Or the regulator.

See if the headlight flickers during your voltage test...
