Wassell style tank

I' m having a hard time deciding on a tank. I had an original wassell and sold it before i even had a frame. I'm kinda diggin the look. They are small (2.1 gal). I was going to run a 3 gal mustang. How much massaging is involved in getting these to go over the top engine mount? I'm not going to change the mount for the tank either. These tanks are the higher frisco style as opposed to the deep tunnels. I love the dual petcocks at the rear. I got mine from Lowbrow and loved it! heres what i did re the mount:

Looks good. You have the deep tunnel. The one on this tank is about 3.5" deep. I' m leaving the top engine mount alone.
Should be able to work around it or sit the tank up a bit higher to clear the engine mount.

I read something on here about widening the tunnel somehow. Just can't find it.
