what are thrse carbs.

Purchased these off fleabay for my 650 build. These were linked carbs advertised as X650.
I bought these to substitute for my bs38cv individual carbs.
Yet I showed them to an informed person who said they weren't off a 650???
Engine intake side.
ID=32mm. OD=43mm
Filter side.
ID=36mm
OD=49.8 mm
Top cover 76.8 roughly.

The "informed person" is indeed well informed. Those are not XS650 carburetors. For one thing, the XS650 was never fitted with carbs having a venturi diameter smaller than (nominal) 34 mm., and the throttle stop adjustment is in the wrong place. Also XS650 carbs with side mounted mixture screws had a 38 mm. (nominal) venturi diameter. Those may have come from an XS360 or similar small twin.
