Hey all, I found out the hard way how lousy it runs when the hose on the petcock comes loose from the barb on the lreft.
what do I do when I take the tank off and use a auxiliary gas tank to test run ?

Well using my decades of XS650 experience I'd suggest plugging the hose? Other wiser smart asses may have different ideas. :sneaky: An m6 bolt or screw works well. I keep a bit of vacuum line with a ball bearing shoved well in it cuz I remove the vacuum line from the manifold tap, it's easier to get to than the end up behind the petcock.
Check the cap on RH side they tend to crack with age.
