How about an Oil change? ( Oh man , Thu, we've seen more oil changes... Aintcha got...) Not like this one.
Mailman is not up right now so I'm gona sneak this in before he catches me. First, he needs to change his name to "Mr. Clean." Second, I'm not gona try and match the pix of his last oil change, beautifully clean gold and silver sump filter and so forth... No, I decided during a short ride, first in a while, due to a capped molar going super-nova and my Dentist's office being devoid of personnel due to virus, to change my oil and document it by taking "beauty Shots" of a dirty machine. Gotta be a first. I will preface by saying there were no rubber bits in my sump or metal bits in my oil filter. The Sump filter looked like I stole it from Mailman and no animals were hurt or hurting during this change but me. I also want to mention that you can't make this stuff up. And also, Texans are long on breath and short on pecker, but I'll try and be brief. Lets get started.
I gathered all needed items and tools, outdoor creeper, ( 4 X 4 piece of cardboard). I pop the latex and pull the oil pump cover. Oil is hot! I pull the oil pump filter, check it and have an exchange ready.
It's damn HOT! I look for the 10mm and there is a space between the 9 and 11mm sockets. Fussing and cussing and looking in all the same places many times and not finding it. Tooth is starving me to death! I'll try a sandwitch. No bread. I head up to the big house and gets a sandwich, trying to eat on one side thinking where that damn socket could be. Ole lady is doing something. I said " Whatcha got?" she said "Wrinkle cream". I said, "Oh, I thought they were natural!" She threw something at me. It was a 10 mm socket! (
He's lying, boys! He found it on the end of the 1/4 X 4 inch extension with the wobbledee - wobbledee).
I pulled the drain plugs and let her drain.
Crossed the front fender.
I took a few beauty shots as the oil was draining.
Opened the seat in preparation for new fuel filters.
Got her all put back together, serviced and ready for a 30 mile round robin leak check. Quick check of my sissy bar bag and good to go! ( Make sure I had the tooth ache medicine, just in case!)
How's that for different?
