What's the furthest you have gone to buy a bike?

In '97 I flew to San Francisco from NC and bought an 1983 Yamaha Turbo from my brother-in-law and rode it home. Yep, it was worth it. I trusted him, knew how he took care of stuff, and I wasn't disappointed. I still have the bike and quite a story to go with it. Next longest is South Florida for a 1970 XS1 that required a frame up restoration, but how many XS1s are still around. I would have traveled even farther. If you want it and the price is right, go get it! It just adds to the experience!

Drove 2000 miles (from So Cal to MN) to pick up two xs650's.
But was also going to MN to visit family.

I went about 9 miles to get my '80 last year(or was it 2?). One if the better things I spent $500 to accquire.
