Hello all. I am in mid-build on an '83 bobber project and trying to tackle some of the wiring. It's not my strongest suit by any means so bear with me.

While the bike is an '83, the PO converted it back to points... Sort of. It still had the TCI ignition unit for some reason. Big surprise, it didn't run. Anyways, I am taking it out and replacing it with a Pamco ignition. Since it was converted back to points, it had the two individual coils instead of a single unit typical of the year. I got a single high output coil from Mikes XS ready to go.
While taking apart the ignition, I came across this guy buried under the gas tank. It had both coils connected to it and it looks like its an OEM part. Couldn't find any info about it online. Can anyone identify this and tell me if I need it when running the Pamco or if it can just go in the old parts box.
I am also replacing my ignition key unit with a toggle switch I picked up at radio shack (30A, SPST)
