Hey guys, I'm in the midst of a cafe project in which I'm swapping a 650 front end on to a 400. One of my complaints with the 400's stock front tire size was that there isnt nearly enough tread for an aggressive lean (I've already chirped it in a corner or two). I was wondering what you guys are putting on. The new rim is going to be an 18 or possibly a 17 inch wire spoke. I'm looking at Excel brand. But I'm wondering if I can go wider than the 2.5 x 18 standard size. The desired effect is a wider tread with less sidewall. What are you guys working with for this?
