hi guys, quick question hopefully somebody will know the answer to. Will the reserve lighting unit from a 1981 xs650 work as a replacment on a 1980 xs650? I would assume it should be the same but can anyone confirm this? The part number for the reserve unit on the 1980 is 1T3-84308-00-00.
    Thanks

Unless you are restoring, that unit is probably worse than useless. It is more likely to die than the bulb who's failure it's supposed to save you from.

Yeah. I was thinking of just by passing it, probably the best bet.
