hi ther we are the walker brothers in the uk . love the site .loads of great stuff to look at on this site .my name is shaun and this is my frame build ..this is a xs650 frame me and my brother are building . he got to my place on saterday about 10 and we made a start :) .in the wheek i set up the jig table and made a engine jig off a old sx frame .this is how the day whent .1st up was to sort the head stock out that was a pain in the ass :shock:

got the engine in today so can get the front rails on tomorow .did a bit of welding on the frame and made a dummy oil tank to old the electrics in .

got the frame of the jig today .put the sportster forks and wheels in .got the engine in .bit of a mock up well happy :)

Lookin good. Are you intending to use that belt drive pulley? If so wouldnt it being significantly larger in diameter than the XS sprocket make the bike geared WAYYY low? Unless you're compensating on the drive pulley by going to a larger diameter.
 
WOW, I'm very impressed! I'd love to have the skills (and tools) to build a bike from the ground up. Can't wait for the next update!
 
Now I'm really pissed off that I can't weld. Looking at those pics is like watching a fishing show from Florida and then remembering that it's 10 degrees outside where you live.

got the rear sprocket made up to go on the sportster wheel .allso got thes model t rad caps in from the usa and got the base made so i can weld it to the gass tank:)
