Yea but you just wonder what t looks like now since his pictures are at least 3 years old when the
bike last ran. I'm not even considering the stock Yamaha advertising image he inserted. It's almost
as bad as a for sale motorcycle ad that features the current owner sitting on the bike.

I think you’d be hard pressed to restore one to that condition for less money than that. I’m afraid to even add up the receipts for my recent XS2 resto!

The way you total everything is to only count every other receipt.

Yeah, anytime I see an ad with only one photo and almost no information, it always makes my spidey senses tingle.

I find it odd a bike this original with supposed original paint that pops like this would have such faded gauges?
I smell repaint and or added gauges.

I can believe it.
Those instruments look much better than what's typically out there. The silkscreen paint job on those early plastic faceplates is rather pathetic, and doesn't seem to tolerate heat and age, as seen on this XS2 faceplate.
Compare the odometer numerals paint job to the faceplate...
I don't see that image in their ad. Perhaps they saw your post and removed it?
