Thanks for the regulator replacement advice and wiring - my old mechanical unit was allowing spikes up to 16.3 volts. $28 at the local parts store and about 15 minutes of wiring and soldering - runs perfect......14.5 volts rev'd up. Also brought my idle voltage up a bit as well. Great...
