    G'day, I used to ride my 72, that I built up purely so I could to work every day on the cheap. Was a 112km trip one way from door to door. 224 km's a day, 5 days a week. Did it for just under 10 months. Only thing I can say is LOCTITE EVERYTHING!! I've had screws and bolts work themselves out...

    Removing engine studs

    Just wind 2 plain nuts (or more if you can fit them on the stud. The more the better) down onto the stud. Lock them against each other, and just wind it out with a spanner. Same way I get studs out of everything, be it aircraft, cars, bikes or otherwise. Make sure you use the bottom nut...

    The problem is that on the outside part of the case where the push rod seal sits, there's is no chamfer for installing the seal. The chamfer is on the inside of the case. You can get around this problem by putting a little bit of a chamfer to the lip of casing around the seal.... Helps prevent...

    Th clutch rod seal is MEANT to be replaced from the other side of the casing....Sucks I know. However on my sidecar VMX racer I have "modded" the case so I can knock it in from the outside, coz I'll be stuffed if I'm gonna split the case after a half dozen races just to fix that leak!!
