Prepare to do A LOT of sanding first to take care of that rough casting. Thought about it on mine, but I wouldn't't have the patience. Parts that are already smooth are a bitch enough.
Having used helicoils before for other projects, I would be extremely concerned about the tab you have to break off after install. Even if you avoided shavings, that thing could do some major damage.
Check that baby out thoroughly and get all the kinks out...haha. I'll be ordering one for my cb750 chop soon.
