    XS 850 Re Model

That’s a shame. Yes, they are like rocking horse poo. But the bike looks the absolute business with wire wheels. I’m looking into getting a one off hub done , but like wise it gives me heartburn.

    XS 850 Re Model

Thanks for the info. I just can’t find any hangers for a larger 265mm disc only the 1998 R1 at 245mm, was considering getting the XS disc turned down. Nice work you’ve done there, are you keeping the wire wheels?

    XS 850 Re Model

Hi. Just looking to see if there were any updates and pics on this thread. I have a similar XS850 project underway, looking at R6 front end, 80’s cafe look to it. You said you fitted the rear R1 calliper bracket with only a slight mod and the xs disc. Can you enlighten me as the R1 disc is...

    Alternative callipers and 320mm discs???

Cheap and cheerful. Means more beer money 🤗 The front discs were, as said above, Chinese ones which are now unavailable. Can’t remember the name off hand (Lifan) but they were sourced from one of the chats on this site. I’ve had them for about 5 years now. Not done huge miles but they do work...

    Alternative callipers and 320mm discs???

Interesting thought. Spaghetti fork legs 🤣🤣🤣. Yes those callipers can be obtained at a good price. They read up well on their web site. Be nice to hear if anyone has used the Adelin callipers.

    Alternative callipers and 320mm discs???

Would’ve been a good offer. The 300mm disc set up keeps the standard look too. Very nice. Did you need to make brackets for the callipers? Here’s mine with the 280mm discs.

    Alternative callipers and 320mm discs???

https://roguemotorcycles.com.au/products/yamaha-xs750-big-brake-kit Saw this for the XS750 and thought it would be an easy change on the 650 as I believe the calliper mounts are the same. I have asked if they will fit the wire wheels. They obviously haven’t tried and I’m dubious as to whether...

    Lovely day.

Ta. Yeah a few more jobs done. Oil cooler and remote filter, changed the carbs. Not sure if the wheels were done in my last pictures. Cheep sticker off eBay 👍. Hmmm thought that was the wife moaning again for a moment 😖.

Cruzin Image and/or Sumo Rubber experience?

Just spoke to boring shop and weve agreed the Yamaha standard spec is probably best, especially with all the feedback from people here. He said he would've gone slightly overspec anyway so tighter spec plus a whisker is about standard :).
