I'm setting the valve clearances on my '82. I set the left side and everything is all fine and dandy. But when I go to set the right side, it moves the timing mark when I adjust the tappets. Should I have someone hold it a TDC? Or is it fine?
Adjusted the float height and it definitely helped, but I'm still getting some smoke. Its worse when I rev. Going to change the oil next. If it still persists I'm thinking I'll adjust valves next? Or could it just be from sitting and getting the gunk out of the exhaust?

I'm putting my '78 basket case back together and I've hit a roadblock. I've taken advice I received here and gotten a yamaha factory service manual. I'm putting the cam back in and I can't find a clear answer in the manual about which direction it should go. One side of the cam has threads on it...
