Might go get a timing light and read up on it in the manual

That’s fixed must not of been set in right and tight but now it’s getting a lot better of a vacuum on both but still has the 3k problems

Took the carb off and smoke was coming out of the left camber of the motor..

the right carb holds up for about 13 almost 14 seconds. Left one not so much. Drops in just one second. Gonna take it off and inspect for any rips or tears. Upon throttle the right chatters up and down a little bit but not much and the left one doesn’t move at all

Won’t rev past 3000 and then with full throttle kicks past and hits around 4500 and can keep going as normal. I installed the needle you have on the left. Do not have a timing light.

New info. Carbs all synced and idles great but when it gets going it hits off 3000rpms. Did a little testing and it breaks past that mark with the throttle pinned

Came back as 716 and 746 roughly so guess its back to good old fun carbs for me

New needles, had me drill a hole through the lift. I also put in new fuel mixture screws. Defiantly going to go after those coils and check it out

Also just got stuck there at idle and wouldn’t come down for a while.

hello all got the new jets (45 and 145) in the carb and a better vacuum. Got it going just fine but it’s still doing that same ping just off of 2k any ideas? I’m going to keep working on it. Have a video but no clue how to get it on here

Yeah with my float bowl being off it was getting way to much fuel. The idle screw was barely even touching. Could even idle with the screw all the way out. Hopefully the new jets I ordered the fixed float will be better.

Haven’t tried that yet Jan but I guess I should of explained that the bike has ran and ridden fine and eventually starts sputtering and pinning off 2k

I’m going to order the dump tune needle and jet kit from Mikes xs and also see how that goes thanks to all of you for the help so far!!

Tried to do one size smaller jets because it was getting too much fuel with how much air it gets. Plugs turn black fairly fast so it’s very rich

By both sides are you talking exhaust? It goes to one and sputters or a second if I hold the throttle a bit it will stay on and bounce off 2 grand rpm but as soon as more fuel or less is introduced it dies.
