    For Sale - 1972 Yamaha GS650 (XS650 w/factory 750cc engine)

The sequence was GS650-102651 thru GS650-102850. A couple of these have turned up on E-bay and we all know how credible some sellers on there can be. The pictures I've seen of the displacement numbers on the cylinders were obviosly a restamp. The cc was a stickout while the 750 was a stamp...

Wanted - Omars 19" wheel conversion kit.

Okie, I've heard Jim Henry's name mentioned before but no one gives any contact information for him. I googled him but only the post that mentions his name comes up.:banghead: Do you have his contact information? Thanks

    Belt instead of a chain?

Had over 20,000 miles on the belt and it's still good, only had to adjust it maybe three times. I only replaced it because I installed a new S&S 100 cu.in. engine and since I had the bike apart, why not. I love the belt drive and would like to put one on my XS650 and KZ 1000 LTD.

    Belt instead of a chain?

Been running belt drive on my Harley since '91, love them. No mess, no trouble, no noise. I've been looking at doing one on my XS. Have you checked with your local Yamaha dealer to see if any of the current models that have belt drive may just fit? I know it's a long shot but you never...

    street tracker wheels

I'm using a 19 inch rear wheel with rear disc on my tracker with a Yamaha Radian swingarm. The swingarm looks better and is stronger then the stock one. The radian takes the same size axle as the 19 inch front wheel, just have to make new spacers.

What was your first motorcycle ?

My first bike was a Honda CB350 that I purchased new in 1968. My second bike was a XS650 that I purchased new in 1971. If I knew then what I know now I would have left it stock and would not have sold it. :banghead:

    Yamabrits

Would love to see pictures of any XS's made to look like vintage British bikes. Thinking about doing one after I finish my Street Tracker.:bike:

72 XS2 back from the dead

Very nice bike, it's nice to see some of these being restored. I have nothing against trackers, chops, bobs or cafes, I'm building a tracker myself. With the bike I picked up the only reusable stock parts was the engine, frame and wheels, the rest looked like someone put a hammer to it. Lots of...

Where and how would your XS be if you hadn't bought it?

My '79 was in a barn being beatup by cows, no not Kaws. You know the ones that are suppose to be making milk not kicking around motorcycles. Soon to be another street tracker, like there isn't enough of those around.:bike:[ATTACH]
