OLD ROOKIE

l have always liked to be self sufficient by being a problem solver and analyst. Resources for "do it your self" types have greatly expanded. Machine and vehicle schematics and part lists are readily available, as also are "how to do it" videos on the internet.

Being an avid fisherman, I have launched a boat over 1,000 times. If you want to fish, you better learn to keep your boat, motor, trolling motor, fishing reels, and trailer working. I do that and have done that.
Since childhood I loved mini bikes and go karts. I finally purchased several basket case ones and refreshed and modified them.

I have always appreciated antiques and iconic items and I guess i consider myself a collector of many things. I wanted to step up to working on my own motorcycle. I always wanted vintage and
the Yammy 650 twin has been a favorite since the late 70's when my buddy owned one. I started looking for an interesting motorcycle to buy and own.
Found my XS 650 last week.
