    Stripped carb bowl screw

    i ran into the same problem but just took the lock washer off the screw which made it long enough to catch some threads deeper in the hole and used some red lock tight...

    First time builder here, looking for some insight.

    i've always worked on my own bikes and cars...i just finished my first build a few weeks ago and have taken it out a few times...not gonna lie it is kinda nerve racking thinking i'm going down the road at 50 + mph on something i built from the ground up wondering if i forgot to tighten or check...

    Help me extract this fork tube cap! ARGH

    i bought a set of 3 big allen sockets from autozone (cheap) but they did the trick with a long extension and impact gun...suprised to for autozone crap tools they have held up well i've used them alot on old rusty swing arm bolts too!

    so here it is my xs from start to almost finished...

    thx guys! details? hmm well, frame is stretched 4", i lowered & shaved the forks 2"s & put a 21inch drum brake front rim on it. the electrical box is an oil filter can from a 57 chevy. the rear fender is a front off an old bike i parted out on ebay. the brake light is actually an old truck...

    Wire tap in advice

    slide the heat shrink over the wire first then solder the connection then slide the heat shrink over the connection and heat it up!

    i just used a razor blade to cut the plastic of what few plug connectors i used & robbed the plugs off my original harness for the stator/regulator and soldered the wires together..

    thx pete! that did the trick! the springs were weak...i have a couple seized up engines so i robbed a set off of one that were in better condition just to see if that was it, just ordered a new set from mikes along with some jets thx to gentleman & 5twins as well!
