Yep, clogged breather in cap will give you fits. Knew a guy back when Honda came out with the first Shadow 1100, breather was clogged and it actually sucked a depression in the gas tank. Glad you figured it out.

I would think it should turn freely. I would remove the tach drive and see if that has it in a bind.

That would intimate these bikes are fuel injected, which they aren't, so O2 bungs would serve no purpose

Had an orange one as my first bike, that's the street version with low front fender, 18" wheel and 8" DLS front brake, mine was the trail version with high fender, 20" wheel and 7" front brake I see someone replaced the lopsided shoebox muffler with something more appropriate
