Can anyone show me how they set up their xs 750 tank on the xs 650 frame? pictures would be great Need tips on how others did it.

I got a 1982 us special. Well I got a Ducati monster frontend laying around, bit to much work and expensive to get that on place. But I want a retro looking racer, so regular racing öhlins dampers will ruin the look. If they got some retro looking dampers i'm in for it. I'm not gonna race...

The front end will be rebuild all the way, with a new valve, progressive spring, and hugh's handbuilt lowering kit (look how it's installed). Will it be over sprung... NO, the problem can be that the sprig will be to soft. As for the rear i'm not after any exotic brand dampers, just to hear...

If you se on pictures of xs650 cafe racers many people have lowered the triple trees on their front suspension, so they have a stick up over their triple trees, I don't want that on my bike. So if I lower the front 2" the bike will have a "visual" horizontal line under the tank an make the bike...

I'm gonna lower my bike 2" and I wonder if somebody can tip me a good quality rear dampers? Preferably looks vintage and have some adjustment options.

Everything, the prework on the sheet metal was poor so the tank has flat spots, and he cooked the weld (to much heat). The most idiotic thing is that the welder is a pretty good industrial welder with low fail %. But I think this was just to new experience to him and he never done it before.

I had a welder weld a new gas cap on the original tank (round gas cap), and he did a terrible work and the result was that I bought a cheap but good xs750 gas tank to put on instead.

How does the people on this forum fastening their xs750 tank on their xs650 frame? The front fastening point is opposite on the original tank than there is on the xs750 tank, how did you guys fix this?

Hey I'm rebuilding my parts washer and adding a heat element so i can use washer fluid that is better than white spirit, diesel etc. any one know where I can get a 300w element with a termostat for 230V ac? need to be able to get the fluid to minimum 40 celsius.
