I "may" do a proper bobber conversion next year if the engine is decent, as I really dont want to spend cash on doing a full rebuild at the moment if needed and defo dont want the situation of cutting up and welding the frame to then find the engine...

Been a while since my last update manly due to a few family commitments... The headlight and everything is all mounted as is the tank and new fuel lines..
Front brake caliper will be sorted within the next few weeks and im now looking at fitting a bobber style single seat.. Im not removing...
For the hub and rim I would use Powdercoat, I have had many wheels done in various colours and always been happy with the outcome..
Remember to remove all bearings and seals..
Powder coating spokes can be a issue as the spoke may not fit back through the hub, I would maybe look at getting...
I have very limited XS experience but im very happy with the Boyer that my bike came fitted with..
The unit must be ten years old and has sat outside with no protection for many years,I had no idea if it even worked or not so I contacted boyer and they said drop it in to them and they will...
Was just about to get a new kill switch the normal universal type with two wires coming from the unit when out of nowhere I have found a switch in the shed.. I have no idea when or why I got it though!!!:doh:...

Yeah did know that, I just put it on as I have a tendancy to loose things like that If they are not put back on..
I may get a new front sprocket get it on and fire her up see what the situation is then..
One thing how tight should the seal be around the Rod shaft??
Just a mini update for the moment
Bike starts first kick everytime :wink2: so that is a good thing, sadly there is a oil leak coming from LHS side engine case this looks like it involves replacing two oil seals or atleast I hope this will sort it :shrug:..

I tend to use the "in 1st gear method"
To be honest front sprocket remaval was a breeze on this bike, the bolt at the moment is finger tight with a good layer of copper grease :bike:..
