im getting it from the the device that has all the little lines on it you know the one that rolls back up into itself after u use it, i think its called a measuring tape, i thought it was called a Stanley.............. cmon now to top it off the tires are even labled as 19 and 21

my thing is, what else could it be if its not the plugs?

checked the valves, they are still there and moving freely, compression test showd no flaws in either cyl, and the plug is a lil black when i pull it (strong gas smell) and yeah i have swaped the wires and its still dead. (this is starting to sound a lot like a plug) Damnit! ill check that when...

Okay so i posted a thread a little while back reguarding backfiring out of my left cyl. Since then i have completely rebuilt the carbs, checked the timing, made sure i have spark, all the things that ive been told to do. The cyl. is not combusting when the bike is running right pipe blows nice...

Okay so i got a xs in my shop that my buddy just picked up, this thing is fresh froms the 70's, i think its a 72-73 but the funny thing is this bike has never been altered, yet it has a 19 rear and 21 front, from what i know thats not normal! Can anyone help shed some light on the subject??

needless to say its the wierdest shiot ive yet to see!

The bike was a barn find and from what i uderstand the PO/Orig O bought it got scared and barned it had 66 registered miles.

Will someone send me this carb bible that is being talked about please!? I have a 81 that I aware hates me, left side seems like it sparaticly fires, pops like a Mofo and to top it off it won't run unless it's on choke!!
