Thanks! I'll definitely have to do that while fixing this problem. I thought it could have been that but I wasn't sure. The brake light didn't come on when I right away. In fact, it took two broken LEDs and this is the third one that I have put into it and it's on now. I also had to install a...
I took a gander in it today and did notice the same color wires as the ones in the chart so at least the guy who had it before me didn't mess anything up too bad. I'm just going to have to study the wiring chart and see if I can get these wires all wired up correctly in the headlight unit.
Now I...
I don't even know how to explain this one. The problem is with indicator lights on the control box if you would call it that. Lights just aren't lighting properly. The video describes this fully.
Any ideas on what to try? I'm kind of at a loss here.
1977 XS650.
Thanks!
It is true. I just wanted a brighter light for when I'm riding at night. I wanted to make sure people could see my brake light. All this started when my break light broke. It was at that moment I decided to change all the lights to leds. Had I known the hassle, I would have just gotten a regular...
I got it. I don't know what voodoo magic you did but I wired them incorrectly again and they all work. They actually all work on the first flasher I got. Both led flashers I have work.
Yes and yes
When I take the leds that are working in the rear out and put them in the front, they do not work.
When I take both leds out of the rear and put them in the front, they don't work. Only the rear signals ever work.
I don't see how I'm wiring them incorrectly. I have both positive...
Okay so this is the one I bought:

I just installed it and I am having the same problem. The back leds work just fine but the front ones won't even turn on.
Well I didn't know that. I definitely don't want to blind people. That would not help me to not to get hit. I'm still in the early stages of my HID searching.
I have not seen the actually lighting of it physically.
Do you know of any HID housings that would fit in the bike? I would assume...
I am looking to upgrade my current headlight on my stock 1977 XS650. Nothing has been done to the bike except for fixing it up and getting it to stock running order. I have a few questions. I am looking for the brightest / most visible light possible since I do a lot of riding at night.
First...
I have tried searching for this problem but it seems like no one else has had my problem, figures.
Here's a twister for you, I tried wiring up some new LEDs on my 1977 XS650 with half luck. Yes, you heard me. Half luck. I can only get the back two LEDs to flash, not the fronts.
I purchased...
Boy have I been a busy guy these past few days. Thank you so much for the images. I didn't know what you were talking about until I saw those. I thought they were the ports above those bigger ones because they looked more capped off on mine. So thank you again!
I have been trying to find this for days. I dont know if im just searching wrong or what. Im looking to sync my carbs and I dont know where the vacuum is. If someone could point it out with a picture, that would be wonderful.
Thank you. :)
After some tinkering around, I got them to work. Now they all flash like they should but I dont think I wired them properly. A good wiring diagram would be great help to show exactly how I should wire them. I may have put wires together that shouldn't be and I dont want to overload anything but...

Bought the bike with some issues and this is the last of it. Bought new front turn signals from Mikesxs.net and having trouble wiring them up. I can get them to have power but I can't get them to flash. The rear lights will flash so it is not the relay.
If anyone can post of...
