I have a swing arm from a 77 I'm in Cochrane (just out of calgary)

Before I buy it putting this out to all the people who know this better thebut myself. I like the size and the price is nice aswell but I would like to know if it will work so I'm not wasting my time ordering it...

Are you sure it's raked? I just bought one that I thought was raked out and it turned out it was just the extended forks playing tricks with the eyes.

Turn out the engine is the same as my 77 so that's a plus. The forks are mint. Has a bunch of hd garbage on it that I'm going to toss... The rear swing arm looks like it was ment for the disc. And going to compare the frame tomorrow with mine to see it anything other then the rear has been chopped.

I hopefully go to get the bike tomorrow and then I can see what I'm working with. I already have my 77 stripped all the way down to the frame. Waiting on my monster craftsmen brat kit. I was going to start cutting off un needed tabs. I'm hoping to weld sandblast and paint next weekend. Then...

Would it be hard to rig my 77 swingarm up with the disc brakes setup off the other swingarm if it's an early 70s? I want the longer swingarm..

Awesome thanks for the info. I was planning on using my 77 frame and the swingarm off of this bike cause it looks to be setup for the rear disk . If the forks aren't pitted I will remove the extensions and us them. And I will have to figure out what motor to use the 77 I already have or the one...

Thanks back looks ruff! I'm wanting it for the swingarm and disc brakes... I'm told the forks are good but have screw on extensions. I'm hoping the carbs are good as well.

I'm about to buy this xs year unknown for a parts bike for my project I'm wondering if anyone can tell if the neck has been chopped by look at the picture...if anything else pops out to anyone I would be interested in their thoughts... Thanks

It's a cb750 bobber frame with an unknown year xs650 motor. I was told it ran but it has an ignition problem.. the wiring is a mess... The bike is solid but very rat rod custom.

I'm told the farm xs frame is not an easy fix... I'm in the process of selling the second bike I got with my project and it could cover my parts list if I get the right price for it.. I really like the taste of the koolaid just do love how much it costs.

Haven't even tried to get it running. I was told that it has sat for years so I was just going to strip it down and start with the frame then get to the engine this winter.

So I picked up this 77 sx650 as a project. I'm set on a brat style seat but trying to decide on what kit to go with visual impact or monstercraftsmen. I don't know if I need a new tank or if I can make the stock tank work. Input is appreciated I'm also trying to decide on tires and rims.
