Bike is a 1980 Special - so - it is the special, not standard, frame. I think that is what you were asking. Modified the rear hoop (and a few other bits) but the suspension points are in the normal locations. The C to C on the Progressive shocks is 14.25” (out of the box, not including sag)...

Funny, wonky is a great word. And, because they are, kind of. One of the filters has a tear in the rubber and doesn’t sit properly. So, it’s the filter that is off. Not the carbs. New k&n’s are on the to do list.

Been a while - so some updated progress photos, etc. Ended up going with a Motogadget M unit, battery and Motogadget M lock - so - we are fully keyless - and still kick only for starting. Battery size is bigger than needed for kick only, but, I had purchased it to go electric start originally...

Update - went w the M unit - battery - and Motogadget M Lock - so fully keyless. Still kick only but happy with the result.

So ultimately - looks like it is 'plug and play', remove the sparx and put in the battery?!

Money was spent a while ago so that pain is long gone. Haha

Pamco ignition. Have a battery that size due to originally thinking I would do electric start as well. Want to make sure it is not 'too much' if I stay kick only, but, sounding like there isn't a 'too big' issue?

I have clearance to mount it either way (I think), MAY be tight upright - so was leaning towards having it on its side. Definitely was going to surround it with the foam that came with it.

@arcticXS that was a great response and feedback. Laughing my ass off right now. That being said - would an M - lock work in a battery less kick only situation?

They did not. They are part number 490-1013. They are for a Triumph maybe? But - they are a direct fit (with the proper bushings), and they gave me the center to center I wanted/needed for my build. I am sure I will have to dial them in once I am road worth .

I did. But will probably upgrade a few of the bits to stainless now that I am further into my build.

Welp - undertook the wiring project today. Had initially started thinking I would go with a Motogadget M unit - but the more I have learned - went the 'simple' route. Kick only - for this project. Had another thread looking at ignition location options and went with underneath the seat for now...

That is pretty solid. So, you are saying if I go with this location, carry an extra key? Haha. Side note - did just get the kill switch on the R6 controls working with my setup - so stoked on that.
